![]() ![]() Am I missing a critical part of the install? Do I need any to do. Thanks.ĮDIT 1: Main menu now purple, and game throws error "Skyrim has crashed because an object with reference." on new game.ĮDIT 2: Reinstalled Skyrim 3 times now, downloaded the 7gb archive twice (from different places). I've reinstalled skyrim completely twice and the mod, like, 5 times at this point and idk what's going on. I press "yes" on the blank prompt and I get an error: "SkyUI Error Code 7". I think: this definitely isn't supposed to happen. I think to myself, ok, maybe my version is different (I had seen the different wallpaper in a video on YouTube)? I press New Game and then where it's supposed to say "Begin New Game" is blank with just "yes" and "no". It would be interesting to see how it would've been if Skyrim came first and then Oblivion, 'ey.So I downloaded Enderal from the torrent, put everything in the Skyrim install folder, installed it through the launcher, update it from the launcher, start it up. Thing is that the Cyrodiil of Oblivion should've been more detailed and larger in scope, but had to accommodate the constraints of technology at the time. I know of Skyblivion and Skywind but haven't really checked them out much, other than a video trailer of the latter. now that would be a helluva beautiful RPG world. To re-interpret the Tamrielic capital in that way. Makes me wish this was a game of its own from the ground up, would love to see it fleshed out with all the budget and time it needs but nevertheless, this is a mod at heart and the craft here is first-class.īut you know what playing this has gotten me more riled up for? The thought of Oblivion with this kind of direction and audiovisual design - OHH man, imagine if we got to see Cyrodiil like this?! The environment you start out in bears some similarities in my view. It's so uncannily similar in ways (and in many ways literally of course), but the way the world is so completely its own thing and as big as Elder Scrolls in that regard requires some adjustment from me, lol. That said I do find the complete distinction of Vyn from the ES world jarring, to say the least. Also, the writing, while definitely edgier, is very good - the voice acting even better!! The gameplay is more cinematic and with a more focused narrative and the intensity of these combat encounters makes this much more consequential and weighty than Skyrim. GOIN' through this as I speak for the first time (and without having played either Nehrim or previous installments before it) and wow the landscapes and art direction and music are all so enamoring, I love it. There's really no reason not to try it and a million to dive in headfirst, if you told me it was secretly made by Obsidian and that I owed them $60, I'd pay up right away. If you were turned off by Skyrim's story, aimless world, or lack of challenge, you'll love this and appreciate SureAI's talent a little extra. Overall, if you like Skyrim, you'll love this. ![]() 20+ crashes sounds harsh, but only a few of those set me back more than a few minutes. Performance is much rougher than vanilla Skyrim, but very acceptable considering this is the equivalent of Skyrim + 100 significant mods. The map is as useless as Skyrim's, and there are often invisible walls preventing you from "mountain-jumping" your way up to dungeons. There were several moments where I had to reach an important dungeon on a mountain or valley, and absolutely struggled to find the proper path there. The world can be oddly hard to navigate sometimes. I never saw a significant change in my damage output or crafting abilities through anything other than perks. Perks are very important, but raising most of your skills through the skillbook-based Learning Points system seemed. Oorbayas in particular are very cool, I'd have liked to see more things like them. So great, in fact, that it makes me sad that you still end up fighting bandits and draugr/skeletons 90% of the time. +Music was on par with Skyrim (both have multiple very good tracks) and voice acting is far above it on average, only Skyrim's celebrity VAs match up with these performances. ![]() They never felt like gussied-up corridor crawls. +Dungeons are typically quite complex and fun to navigate, most similar to Morrowind in complexity and Skyrim in level of detail. 40 hours in and I was still discovering entire new biomes in parts of the map I was certain would be inaccessible. +The combat is more engrossing, with progression that feels more rewarding thanks to the increased challenge. The endings won't be for everyone, but they're still quite thought-provoking. With many memorable characters, a much more impressive arc and far more detailed locales. ![]()
